Having invested £4.5 Million in a new finger-jointing line and general site upgrades at our JJI-Joist manufacturing plant at Forres, we thought we'd make a short video to show how the UK's best-selling timber I-Joist is made. From the high grade timber flange blanks arriving at the infeed to finished and wrapped packs of JJI-Joists leaving the despatch yard, we show you every stage of the process and the care we take to ensure we make the very best I-Joist we can.

JJI-Joists are the joist most specified by engineers and architects and are the joist of choice onsite too. The FloorMaster software used by our UK wide distributor network is BIM ready, compatible with architects’ software and is designed to deliver code compliant, cost-effective floor layouts every time. The solid timber flanges are easy to nail and screw and the OSB3 web makes cutting service holes easy too. JJI-Joists are increasingly being used for walls and roofs and in Passivhaus construction where the thin web and range of joist depths allow for maximum insulation whilst avoiding cold bridging.
