WMS LAUNCHES NEW CPD ACCREDITED TRAINING TO SUPPORT CUSTOMERS AHEAD OF UPCOMING PART L REVISIONS

WMS, leading supplier and installer of underfloor heating systems, has launched a new CPD accredited module to support housebuilders as they navigate the upcoming changes to Part L and seek solutions to meet the new standards.

The WMS ‘Future of Heating – Low Temperature systems and Part L Updates’ module provides an overview of the Part L interim revisions to be regulated in late 2021 and updates planned for 2025, ensuring housebuilders can plan for the future with confidence.

The session also covers low temperature systems and takes housebuilders through the benefits of underfloor heating to ensure they feel fully informed from a technical perspective, ensuring the best possible system and efficiency can be achieved. Completion of the WMS training session allows participants to gain 60 minutes of credits towards their annual of CPD requirement.

Laurie Moulding, Key Accounts Director at WMS, explains: “The upcoming changes will mark the single biggest adjustment the UK housing market has ever seen and preparation is key. As such, we have made it our mission to ensure customers feel fully informed and supported by introducing our new CPD accredited training, which bolsters the existing product, design and technical support offered by WMS.

“While there is flexibility on how to meet the new targets and there are a variety of renewable energy sources available, the Government expects heat pumps will be the primary heating technology for new homes. With underfloor heating being the ideal product partner for heat pump technology, WMS is well positioned to provide customers with expert guidance about taking a holistic approach to the whole new build heating system – the heat source and the underfloor heating – at both the design and installation stage. We look forward to supporting both new and existing customers through the next three years of change and beyond.”
