Vicaima Doors chosen for Retirement Living in Newport

Submitted by Kate on

Set in the quintessentially English county of Shropshire, a brand-new Retirement Village Community has been built and developed to cater for decerning senior living occupants, and fuelled by an ever-growing cohort of the UK population.

Sundew Court near Telford, encompasses a large area comprising a mixture of 61 apartments and 16 bungalows, all close to excellent amenities and just a short distance from notable market towns with a myriad of activities. The development, which is firmly focussed on comfort and style, has of course sought to incorporate joinery solutions befitting the needs of this more specialised residential accommodation.

Working in collaboration with award winning McPhillips Contractors, on behalf of specialist Untold Living, Vicaima are supplying the superior finished, Primed 2 Go (P2G) doors. With added flexibility and additional design elements, a combination of single doors, glazed and pairs are assembled, with many incorporating a decorative horizontal grooved design. In addition, and saving further time and labour on site, the doors were pre-machined for ironmongery prior to delivery, making an excellent example of how off-site preperation can support installation on projects where efficiency and finish both matter.

P2G offers considerable advantages over normal primed finishes.  With its revolutionary design there is no need to sand or further prime the surface before painting, thus saving both time and money on site.  Furthermore, the ultra-smooth and opaque polymer face ensures that a professional finish can be achieved with ease for an excellent end-result. Developed to accept a wide range of water-based paint applications, P2G is the modern way to undertake decoration post joinery installation.
