Wetherby Wall Systems Limited is now trading as ROCKWOOL Wall Systems, bringing the business’s specialist wall systems expertise under the ROCKWOOL name.
The change reflects the company’s position within the ROCKWOOL Group and marks the next stage in the business’s development following its acquisition in 2024.
While the trading name has changed, the people, products, services and customer relationships behind the business remain the same.
ROCKWOOL Wall Systems will continue to provide complete external and internal wall insulation solutions for new build, refurbishment and remediation projects throughout the UK, supported by specification, technical and site expertise.

Simeon Gabriel, Managing Director at ROCKWOOL Wall Systems, said: “There’s something significant about seeing the ROCKWOOL name become our trading name too. We’ve been part of the Group for the past two years, and now our identity reflects that.
“We’re proud of what we’ve built as Wetherby Wall Systems. This change gives us a stronger platform for the future while keeping the expertise, relationships and customer focus that have always defined our business.”
What this means for customers
For customers, the transition to ROCKWOOL Wall Systems is primarily a change of identity.
The same teams will continue to support customers across specification, technical design, product selection, project delivery, installer training and site support.
The company will also continue to offer a broad portfolio of external and internal wall insulation systems for masonry, steel frame and timber frame construction, incorporating render, brick slip and other decorative finishes.
The new identity creates a clearer connection between this specialist wall systems expertise and the wider ROCKWOOL Group, while reinforcing the company’s role as a complete system provider rather than simply a supplier of individual components.
Supporting warmer, more energy-efficient homes
The new identity arrives at an important time for the UK built environment.
Improving the energy performance of existing homes has become an increasingly significant national priority, with the Government’s Warm Homes Plan placing renewed emphasis on upgrading the country’s ageing housing stock, reducing energy bills and creating warmer, more comfortable homes.
The building envelope plays a fundamental role.
Well-designed wall insulation can help reduce heat loss, lowering the energy required to maintain comfortable internal temperatures and improving overall building energy performance.
But effective retrofit is about more than insulation alone.
ROCKWOOL Wall Systems takes a whole-system approach, considering how insulation, fixings, reinforcement, finishes, interfaces and detailing work together to deliver long-term performance.
This is particularly important in refurbishment and remediation projects, where existing substrates, construction types and site conditions can vary considerably.
By considering the full wall build-up from the outset, specifiers and contractors can better manage these interfaces and help ensure that systems perform as intended once installed.
This whole-system approach also supports a broader view of sustainability.
Reducing operational energy demand is important, but so too are durability, resilience and long-term material performance. Building systems that continue to perform effectively over their service life can help reduce the need for premature replacement and further intervention.
ROCKWOOL Wall Systems’ portfolio includes systems incorporating non-combustible stone wool insulation alongside a range of A1 and A2-s1,d0 system configurations, supporting projects where thermal performance, fire safety and long-term durability are key design considerations.
Combined with early technical input, robust detailing and installer training, this provides project teams with greater confidence from specification through to installation.
As the UK continues to invest in housing upgrades, refurbishment and remediation, ROCKWOOL Wall Systems aims to support architects, consultants, contractors, local authorities and housing providers in delivering buildings that are warmer, safer, more resilient and better equipped for the future.

One identity across the UK and Germany
The UK business forms part of the ROCKWOOL Wall Systems organisation alongside its German counterpart, formerly known as HECK Wall Systems.
The move creates a clearer identity across the organisation while allowing each business to retain the specialist market knowledge, products and customer relationships built up in its respective market.
Markus Niermann, Managing Director, ROCKWOOL Wall Systems OPCO, said: “For HECK, this is about taking what we’ve built over many years into the next chapter. The ROCKWOOL name gives us greater visibility and new opportunities to build on our position in Germany.”
For the UK business, the change represents a similar evolution: preserving the specialist expertise developed under the Wetherby name while strengthening its connection with the wider ROCKWOOL organisation.
Simeon Gabriel added: “We see this as an opportunity to build on the strengths we already have.
“Our customers will continue to work with the same knowledgeable people and receive the same specialist support, but our new identity makes it much clearer who we are, what we are part of and where we are heading.”
